Dove

Description

I’ve always been fascinated with creating work inspired by my large scale public art bird installations. The installations have always featured realistic sculptures whether pigeons or seagulls.  In recent years I have been working on some semi abstracted drawings of the bird form, that use geometric shapes to convey the birds form. I wanted to experiment taking these designs into three dimensions.

For me the Dove represents hope, freedom and peace. These wooden birds are intended to perch in our homes and spaces providing a playful, caring presence and keep us company.
