ORBIT

Orbit

Orbit is a series of prints featuring camera-made light drawings that explore colour, movement and time. Created through the rotation of illuminated forms, each image captures a moment that exists somewhere between photography, painting and performance.

The series builds upon ideas first explored in earlier photographic projects such as Carnival and Blue Light, where long exposures transformed subjects into flowing lines, shapes and patterns of illumination. These works used light as a drawing tool, emphasising colour, movement and abstraction.

Colours blend and dissolve, creating forms that appear cosmic, architectural and organic all at once. Rather than documenting a subject, these works use light itself as the medium, recording its path through space and preserving a trace of motion that would otherwise disappear.

Presented as photographic prints, each work is both a record of an action and an abstract composition — a unique orbit of colour, movement and time.

Prints and an accompanying publication will be available soon via my website. The series will also be presented as part of a touring exhibition entitled Painting with Light, alongside works from my Blue Light and Carnival series.
